What brings you more life?

It really has been a whirlwind of a summer. From London, to Crete, to Mallorca, we've travelled together, taken our fitness both to the gym and beyond, as well as taken great memories back home. We've loved getting to know you all and really hope you have too!

As we all return to our routine in September, we thought we would take this time to reintroduce More Life Adventures to you, get to know you better, and give you a heads up about events and adventures coming up that you can be a part of.

If you've joined an MLA experience, you'll have hopefully felt that balance of getting active as well as taking a step back to relax and recover. Every event we put on is a chance for you to take a break from the daily grind and join us in a welcoming space to recharge and grow.

Every now and then I get asked how it all came about. It was born from my personal experience of burning out, waking up to my own mortality and eventually setting out to really live rather than survive.

Growing up, my favourite memory was summer camp. Joining other kids out on the lakes and mountains to play and explore, a brief relief from the monotony of school and home life. I would make enough memories to last me the whole school year, before returning for more.

Fast forward to adulthood - anxiety and 'desk time' came on thick and fast as I became an architect in London. Between long hours sitting in front of my screen and a life lived within concrete walls, I longed for an active life with people I could connect with, exploring the many wonders of the earth.

Eventually, I took the plunge to retrain as a personal trainer to regain movement and create real connections in my life. For the first time ever, I felt that I could really make a positive impact on another human being. As enriching as this was, my clients and I were still stuck in a city basement, starved of sunlight and fresh air. It was then that I thought of taking them out of office, and back to nature. Waking up to the sound of waves, paddling in the calm sea as the sun rises, soaking in the rays as we train. Bringing the joys of summer camp back to adulthood.

As they changed, so did I.

Combined with my father's sudden passing in 2018, I learnt that we shouldn't wait for a better life to come to us, we should make more life. From then on, I got more and more clients and friends to join me, and this initial idea of mine snowballed into my side hustle, then into team and community - More Life Adventures - that I am proud of being part of, four years and a pandemic later.

So, what is More Life Adventures?

Adventurer of the Month

MLA wouldn't be what it is without you, our community of adventurers. We are lucky to have kind, adventurous and curious individuals such as yourself join us. Each month, we want to shine a light on members who have shown courage during their time with us, or in every day life. We also welcome nominations, so please drop us a message if so!

Our Adventurer of the Month is Jess Shuman. She conquered her fear of heights cliff jumping into the crystal clear waters of Paguera in Mallorca in July. It's no mean feat, well done!

Coming soon…

Join us for Lift & Lunch with Chris Murray on Sunday 15th October!
Coming in hot: New merch 🔥 (designed by your fellow adventurer Danny P!)
Watch this space: More Life Adventure Club 🏃

Keep adventuring,
Love from Stella and Team MLA
