  • The vibe is good! We love to train but we won’t force you to do anything you aren’t comfortable with. We are here to grow and have a good time.

  • We welcome everyone over 21 years old and we have no upper age limit. To date we’ve had guests in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. Everyone is welcome and gels nicely.

  • Absolutely. This is the perfect opportunity for you to meet and connect with new people.

    The majority of our guests come solo, and our holidays is simply the best way to meet new likeminded people who seek adventure just like you.

    You can share a room with a new buddy in a twin room or book your own private double, we've got you covered.

  • Our holidays attract a diverse range of people who share a common passion for adventure, exploration, and the great outdoors.

    These include outdoor and adventure enthusiasts, solo travellers, couples and friends, fitness fans, and nature lovers.

    We see people from all ages from 25 to 65, of all fitness levels, and people want to meet other people.

  • Absolutely not! :)

  • If your doctor or medical specialist gives the green light, you're welcome to join the retreat. It's crucial that you inform us well in advance of any medical or general health concerns that could impact your time with us. This way, we can make any necessary adjustments to ensure your stay is as comfortable and accommodating as possible.

ABOUT MLA HOLIDAYS

  • Most retreats offered are 6 nights/7 days, although some of our bespoke events, e.g. training camps or retreats hosted by guest coaches, can be different.

    Retreats operates only on selected dates throughout the year.

  • It is sometimes possible to extend your stay before or after our holidays.

    Please notify us before booking so that we can speak to our local partners to arrange, at additional costs.

  • To ensure personalised attention from your hosts, we cap our groups at a maximum of 14 guests, guaranteeing an intimate small-group experience.

  • Our holidays attract a diverse range of people who share a common passion for adventure, exploration, and the great outdoors.

    These include outdoor and adventure enthusiasts, solo travellers, couples and friends, fitness fans, and nature lovers.

    We see people from all ages from 25 to 65, of all fitness levels, and people want to meet other people.

  • All retreats are typically run in English, although we often work with guest coaches and hosts who have multicultural backgrounds and can speak other languages. Stella, our CEO, is Greek!

  • We set up a WhatsApp group for every holiday we run for guests who are in the same place at the same time. When booking, you can decide whether you want to be part of the group.

Booking and prices

  • Yes we do! You can choose to split the cost of your holiday into monthly payments at checkout. The total cost of the holiday will be split between the number of months between booking and departure, so the sooner you book in, the less the monthly payments are.

  • The price will include beautiful accommodation and specified meals and activities. Please take a look at the ‘included’ and ‘excluded’ sections as each experience may be different.

    The prices excludes travel to the venue on arrival and from the venue on departure, however we will recommend train journeys and flights for you.

  • Not on your first experience with us, but once you have made your first booking, please look out for referral opportunities!

  • Unfortunately the house rules are such that we typically can’t accommodate pets.

Training

  • We offer training holidays and camps:

    • Training holidays give you time for training as well as time to connect, slow down and reflect.

    • Training camps have more of an emphasis on training with less free time.

    All our experiences are located away from busy environments, to give you the opportunity to destress and relax your mind while connecting with nature. We think you will love them if:

    You enjoy working on your movement and fitness.

    You want a boost of energy and joy.

  • We work on all-round fitness and skills that will carry over into the rest of your life. If any of the below sounds like you, we think you’ll love the experience:

    • You consider yourself fit for daily life, but you want to change up your training.

    • You follow a strength-training programme in a gym, on your own, with a personal trainer, or in a group.

    • You have been training in the city and miss the wild.

  • We try to plan each day in such a way that you will never feel depleted.

    However, all our sessions are optional, so feel free to dip in and out as you like.

  • All of our hosts and guest coaches are qualified trainers who will look after you throughout your stay. Our trainers are deeply knowledgeable in fitness and overall body health, and will tailor your training program to your goals, fitness level, and personal preferences.

    Throughout your retreat, our hosts and coaches provide continuous support, answering queries, offering tips, and keeping you motivated.

ACTIVITIES

  • Feel free to join in on as many or as few activities as you like. Options range from guided hikes, yoga and recovery, to tailored exercise sessions aimed at boosting cardio fitness and strength. Our guest hosts will sometimes cover specific topics like nutrition and motivation. Additional activities vary depending on the location.

    At our Crete Summerhouse, you'll have access to the private gym, nearby beach, and SUP equipment whenever you fancy.

  • We encourage everyone to fully participate, as we will always adjust exercises and activities based on individual agility, ability, and experience. Nevertheless, remember, this is your holiday, so feel free to join us for as many or as few activities as you like.

  • We try to plan each day in such a way that you will never feel depleted.

    However, all our sessions are optional, so feel free to dip in and out as you like.

  • After booking, each guest will also be sent a welcome email with useful information about the retreat. This includes a handy packing guide to assist you in preparing for your stay.

meals

  • Fresh, locally sourced, homemade and delicious. We plan our meals with our workouts in mind, so you are always well-fuelled. Portions are generous, so you are unlikely to be hungry between meals, but if so we provide snacks.

    We work with the best local chefs we can find and take pride in keeping you well fuelled.

  • We cater for all allergies and dietary requirements. Just let us know on your booking form.

  • We have a cheeky drink at dinner and after that, additional drinks will be covered by each guest individually. (To keep you from training with a hangover the next day!)

Travel

  • Fear not! We will send you suggested flights / train options upon receiving your booking. If you have booked a residential experience we will pick you up at the meeting point on arrival day and drop you off on departure day.

  • No, we leave flight arrangements to each guest individually. Since our visitors come from various locations, it's preferable for each person to book their own flights, ensuring they secure the best options suited to their needs.

Accommodation

  • If you are coming with a friend or partner, you can choose the double or twin room to share with them. You can also opt to share a room with a new buddy - we will match you with someone of the same gender.

    If you are booking a room to yourself, please make sure you select the single occupancy option.

  • We hope you won’t have to but our accommodation and locations always have free WiFi so you’re welcome to do so whenever needed.
