A FORCE FOR GOOD

THE STORY SO FAR

More Life Adventures was founded on the simple idea that effective training requires high-quality recovery. We took our guests out of the city to a retreat location, to balance training with time in nature, sound nutrition, better sleep and community.

When we grew our retreats from one retreat location to three, it became apparent we were no longer just a fitness business but a fitness travel business.

ACTIVE TRAVEL AS A FORCE FOR GOOD

Travel is a privilege and offers an irreplaceable education - but the business of travel can be harmful for the planet.  We immediately needed to create a plan for our operations that would ensure we are as good for the planet as we are for our guests and team.

Ever since the beginning, we have been committed to leaving people and places better than we found them, and this touches all aspects of our mission and operations.

Now as a B Corporation since July 2025, we are even more focused on reducing our environmental impact and enhancing the well-being of our team, our guests and the communities we visit.

WHAT IS A B CORP?

A Certified B Corporation is a business that meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Unlike traditional companies, B Corps balance profit with purpose, committing to positive impacts on people, communities, and the planet.

Key Principles of a B Corp:

  • Purpose-Driven: We are legally required to consider the impact of our work on all our stakeholders: our team, our guests, the communities we visit and the environment.

  • Rigorous Standards: Certified by the nonprofit B Lab, which evaluates a company’s operations, governance, and business model through a comprehensive assessment.

  • Transparency: We publicly share our impact reports, to stay accountable.

  • Community: We are part of a global movement of businesses using their power to address and solve social and environmental challenges.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

We are dedicated to doing good while taking you on retreats and we are committed to building a more inclusive and sustainable economy. By booking a retreat with More Life Adventures, your investment not only does you good but also benefits the local community and economy you visit.

we visit respectfully

At the heart of every adventure is a host community that welcomes us. We engage deeply with local communities by hiring local guides, instructors and chefs, and choosing to consume what is locally grown and produced. Our commitment extends to engaging with and protecting the natural environments of our destinations, ensuring minimal impact while promoting conservation.

WE PROMOTE A HEALTHY WORKPLACE

Our goal is to protect and improve the physical and mental of our guests and team alike.

We are committed to fostering deep connections with nature and promoting spending time in nature as much as possible on our retreats.

We put mental health first for our team and support flexible working, initiatives to explore nature locally, and meditation practices.

we tread lightly

As an active travel company, the biggest part of our carbon emissions comes from transport and accommodation. We track and work to minimise our carbon footprint through smarter travel choices and partnerships. We set annual goals to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

We strive to choose environmentally friendly options such as public over private transport, group transfers over individual ones, and train over air travel wherever possible. Practically, this means that we organise group transfers for all our journeys, encourage guests to prioritise train over air travel, and direct them to the same flights as much as possible.

We choose our stays very carefully, prioritising agritourism and small local businesses that contribute to their local communities. Our Crete home is maintained by people who live year-round in the local community.

SustainablE Travel in action

✈️ Travelling Smart

We encourage low-emission travel options. For example, we recommend opting for train travel to our events in the UK, which significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to car travel.

🌏 Supporting Local

We strive to have 100% local suppliers in each destination we operate in, enhancing local economies and reducing our carbon footprint.

♻️ Reducing Waste

Each guest receives a reusable water bottle made of recycled materials, helping to cut down on plastic waste. For every bottle distributed, 11.4kg of plastic is removed from waterways. See our Ocean Co. dashboard for real-time insights into our sustainability efforts and impacts.

🌳 SUSTAINABLE ACCOMMODATION

We use agritourism properties and accommodation owned and managed by locals everywhere we go, ensuring our money stays within the local community.

Our B Corp status means that we're mindful of the impact of our retreats and events in a range of areas, looking beyond the environment to also focus on personal and social impact. You can read more about what we achieved in the past in our latest Impact Report.
