Must-read books for wellness
You know it’s a good book when you keep referring back to it. This is an ever-changing list, but these are some of the books that I keep referring back to:
The Oxygen Advantage by Patrick McKeown
If you only have time for one book, read this one. Patrick explains how we are often breathing inefficiently without realising, what it means to breathe better and how it can improve our wellness and fitness.
Emotional Agility by Susan David
Susan discusses how we often mask feelings or get stuck in them, how to get ‘unstuck’ and ultimately be more resilient.
A Guide to Better Movement and Playing With Movement by Todd Hargrove
A very clear and fascinating explanation of how good movement relies heavily on the nervous system, and insights into how we can move better.
Gut by Julia Enders
Julia explains in an entertaining way one of our least pleasant and most essential functions.
Atomic Habits by James Clear
A New York Times bestseller with simple effective strategies on how to stick to your habits.
The Charge and The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard
Brendon nearly died at age 19 and learnt first-hand what will truly matter when we get to the end of life. He speaks very clearly about how to overcome the ‘caged life’ to live freely and with purpose.
Deskbound by Kelly Starrett
Kelly explains our current deskbound lifestyle and how to overcome the limitations of sitting with desk hacks and exercises.
