A WEEKEND ESCAPE IN SNOWDONIA

Join us for a weekend getaway in the Welsh countryside at the foot of Snowdonia National Park. We will spend time as a group, hike and summit Mount Snowdon, play games, eat great food and take in the fresh countryside air.

We know you spend your week working in a city and you crave time in nature along with some downtime amongst like-minded people. Wales is the perfect location for this. If you have always wanted to climb a mountain with friends and make a fun weekend of it, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

IS THIS FOR ME?

This weekend is for adventurers, hikers, outdoorsy people looking to take on some challenging hikes, enjoy some breathtaking views, and enjoy the mountain air. A moderate level of fitness is required as we are summiting a mountain and the last third of the climb is quite challenging. But please don’t be discouraged as we will be going at a steady pace and taking regular breaks and the journey down is wonderful!

ITINERARY

  • Arrive at Llandudno Junction station where you’ll be picked up and taken to The Rocks accommodation. Settle in and then we have dinner together in Betws-y-Coed.

  • We start with an early breakfast at 7:00 and then catch the bus to the base of Snowdon. Enjoy an exhilarating hike that will take 6-7 hours, with a picnic lunch to fuel half way down the mountain. There’s a freshwater lake on the way down from the mountain you can jump in to cool off. After the hike, we head to a local tea room for celebratory tea and cakes, and then head back to The Rocks for a well-deserved rest, and pizza in front of the fire. Join in with some group games or chill before turning in.

  • Enjoy coffee or tea and fruit brought to your rooms for an easy morning, while you pack before a 10am checkout. We head back to Betws-y-Coed for a farewell brunch together, and then transfer to Llandudno Junction so you can catch your trains .

AccomModation

We will be staying at The Rocks, a stunning 5-star luxury hostel nestled in the historic mountain village of Capel Curig.
