WHAT TO EXPECT

  • THE HIKE

    Experience the Otford Circular, a well-loved route in the North Downs. This walk begins and ends at Otford Station Approach. The route includes some gentle hills and is perfect for hikers with a moderate fitness level. The hike is mainly on paths through woodland and across open fields, offering diverse landscapes and beautiful views of the Kentish countryside. Suitable footwear, sturdy, waterproof walking shoes are recommended, especially in winter or after rain.

By Public Transport:
Train: Take a train from London Victoria to Otford Station on the Southeastern line. (Approximately 35-45 minutes from Central London)

By Car:
Parking: There is parking available at Otford Village Car Park. Use postcode TN14 5PG for navigation.

We will end the hike with a refreshing drink. We are committed to leaving places better than we found them, so recommend bringing your keep cups :)

WHAT TO wear and bring

A daypack/small rucksack, reusable water bottle, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, and sun lotion), and sturdy shoes. A snack/sandwich for along the way.

  • This day hike is for anyone who wants to walk or hike at a comfortable pace and loves being in a small group environment.

  • This is a moderate level hike.

  • Absolutely, we run the Adventure Club so you can meet new people while exploring beautiful trails.

  • We recommend having breakfast about an hour beforehand and bringing plenty of snacks with you.

  • UK weather can be unpredictable. Prepare yourself for all weather conditions. Even in warmer months, we recommend bringing a windbreaker or thin waterproof jacket, and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy.

  • There is a toilet at the start and end. We will include rest breaks to ensure everyone is comfortable!

  • You are welcome to bring your furry friends; please make sure they are on a leash and comfortable around other dogs and people.
