ADVENTURE CLUB AT HAMPSTEAD HEATH

We laced up our trainers and hit the trails in and around London!

With the perfect blend of safety, fun, and adventure, we explored hidden gems, made new friends, and soak in the beauty of nature—all while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow adventure enthusiasts.

An 8km hike around Hampstead Heath, approximately 2 hours of walking at a steady pace. The route is easy and perfect for any level of fitness.

WHAT WE DID

  • THE HIKE

    The hike covered 8km over 2 hours over some interesting terrain, led by one of our MLA hosts who knows the area very well and has vetted the route.

  • THE ROUTE

    The MLA approved, hand-curated route around some interesting terrain around the popular Hampstead Heath. The route included some mild climbs and bushy areas full of wildlife. We explored some beautiful ancient woodlands that offer some views of the city as well as open spaces, swimming ponds, gardens, and a pergola.

  • THE AREA

    Hampstead Heath is 800-acres of woodland and meadows, with spectacular views and a rich history. It inspired C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia and John Constable's final paintings, and has been a cherished escape for Londoners for over 200 years. There is an array of wildlife, including over 180 bird species, and various attractions around the Heath like the swimming ponds, fishing areas, sports fields, pubs, and restaurants.

  • This day hike is for anyone who wants to walk or hike at a comfortable pace, and loves being in a small group environment.

  • There is no requirement to be at a certain level of fitness. Everyone is welcome!

  • Absolutely, we run the Adventure Club so you can meet new people while challenging yourself.

  • We would love you to. We have ticket bundles for groups of 2, 3 or 4 friends so you can save some cash off the full price! Buy 1 for £10, 2 for £18, 3 for £24, 4 for £28, 5 for £30

  • We recommend having a snack about an hour beforehand, and bringing a snack with you.

  • London weather can be unpredictable. Prepare yourself for all weather conditions. We recommend to wear warm clothing, a windbreaker or waterproof jacket, and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy.

  • We will make sure to include toilet and rest breaks on the way so that everyone is comfortable!

  • You are welcome to bring your furry friends; please make sure they are on a leash and are comfortable around other dogs and people.

  • If MLA cancels (e.g. due to severe weather) then we will provide a full refund, but otherwise there is a no refund policy.
